How are upholstered chairs from Zederkof maintained?
Vacuuming
First and foremost, vacuuming is essential. This fundamental step helps remove dirt and dust that can settle into the fabric. Remember to use a soft nozzle and avoid rubbing too hard on the fabric to prevent “pilling” or discoloration.
Lint
All textiles shed lint on the surface, also known as pilling. Lint can be gently removed with an electric lint remover. This method is gentle and effective.
Stains
When it comes to stains, there are different approaches depending on the nature of the stain. For non-greasy stains, gently dab with a clean, lint-free cloth or sponge wrung out in clean, warm water, and work from the outer edge towards the center.
For greasy stains, use an appropriate stain remover – but always test first in a less visible area. We recommend Guardian foam cleaner for general cleaning.
And remember, even if the cover is removable, it does not necessarily mean it can be washed or dry cleaned.
Maintenance of Frame and Legs
In addition to the fabric, remember to check and maintain the chair’s frame and legs. Tighten loose screws, and wipe wooden or metal parts with a suitable cleaner.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Place your upholstered chairs away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure can fade and weaken the fabric.
Follow these simple tips, and your upholstered chairs will look fantastic for many years! Remember, regular maintenance is the key to lasting beauty and comfort.
